Moonfleet

Moonfleet

Client:  Moonfleet.

Overview: Tucked away on Dorset’s Jurassic coast the Georgian Moonfleet Manor offers a fun holiday experience for grown-ups and kids alike. The refurbishment focusses on creating an elegant, relaxing atmosphere whilst capturing a sense of adventure, with details to inspire children’s imagination.

A variety of commissioned and in-house artworks adorn the walls of the lobby, including a set of seascapes painted on matchboxes, vintage book covers of J Meade Falkner’s 1898 novel Moonfleet, and a collection of curiosities influenced by the theme of exploration.

The restaurant showcases a series of commissioned photographs documenting the weather-beaten structures scattered along the coastline, along with bespoke watercolours of flora and fauna and creatively framed fossils –  this room is a celebration of the surrounding coastal landscape.
