Client: Klosterhaus.

Overview: Situated a short walk from Bristol’s Cabot Circus the 18th century grade I listed building, originally used as a Quaker’s Meeting House, is now home to Klosterhaus – a modern take on the European Grand Café serving German classics. The refurbishment draws inspiration from the Bristol-Hanover connection, combining narratives around the building’s rich history and the twinned cities’ industrial docks

The artworks feature portraits as a nod to the characters who once frequented the property. Old masters style colour palettes are mixed with industrial imagery to bring a contemporary renaissance feeling. The sculptural pieces in this refurbishment expand on the concept of contrasting traditional forms with a bright modern colour palette.
